Luis Diaz on crutches after Arsenal game

Liverpool’s Luis Diaz was seen walking through the mixed zone at Arsenal in a knee brace while using crutches

Things do not look good for Liverpool’s Luis Diaz who picked up a knee injury during the first half of Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Diaz seemed to pick up the knock in a challenge with Thomas Partey. He was replaced after 42 minutes by Roberto Firmino.

When he left the pitch, he was taken straight to the dressing room.

Speaking to the media after the game, Jurgen Klopp said, “Something with the knee. He will have a scan and then we will know more. I’ve no idea the extent [of the problem].”

Arsenal emerged victorious from what was a hard-fought game.

An opener from Gabriel Martinelli, with less than a minute on the clock, was cancelled out after 34 minutes when Darwin Nunez scored.

Arsenal took the lead again deep in injury time in the first half, but Roberto Firmino, who likes a goal against Arsenal, made it 2-2 on the 53rd minute.

Bukayo Saka’s 76th minute penalty, awarded for a foul on Gabriel Jesus, was enough to ensure Arsenal left with all the points and went back to the top of the table as the only side, apparently, who can challenge City.
