88: YELLOW! Partey, introduced to be combative in midfield, has earned himself a yellow for thwarting a Bodo/Glimt attack. Slightly needless foul, but effective all the same.

Arteta is pacing the touchline.

86: Mazy run from Marquinhos ends in a wayward pass. Xhaka was well placed - he also had Nketiah for company. Wasteful from the teenager.

85: SUB! Arteta has introduced Partey to shore up the midfield third. Arsenal only need to see the game out now. Lokonga makes way.

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

84: Saliba concedes a corner from Pellegrino's awkward cross, which is cleared at the front post. Easing pickings.

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

82: CHANCE! Sampsted's cross from the right is a teasing one, but Arsenal escape.

There's then a suggestion that Lokonga used his arm to him to thwart a subsequent cross. It was a hopeful claim. Nothing doing.

4m ago19:22

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

80: Calm defending from Saliba, with a swarm of yellow shirts around him. Almost effortless. Pellegrino was lurking.

Marquinhos then fed the overlapping run of Tomiyasu as the Gunners attempt to put the game beyond Bodo/Glimt.

Nketiah was unfortunate to run the ball out of play.

7m ago19:19

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

78: Perfect placement and reading of the play from Xhaka, as he intercepts a ball out wide to get Arsenal moving forward again. What a transformation he's had. The visitors remain in control.

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

72: CLOSE! A through ball nearly finds Vetlesen in the box but the Bodo midfielder can't get hold of it even though he was at full stretch.

Had he got a decent touch on it, he would have had a clear strike at Turner.

Now

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal
Sky Sports' Sam Blitz:

"Two changes which hint that Arteta has one eye on Sunday's trip to Leeds.

"Arsenal have had to work too hard in this game and, with the threat of an artificial pitch under players' feet, this seems sensible by Arteta."

19:11
Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal
70: SUBS! Two more switches for Arsenal. Captain Odegaard comes off to an applause from the Bodo crowd and is replaced by Gunners winger Marquinhos.

Tomiyasu replaces White at right-back.

67: YELLOW! Vetlesen is booked for bringing down Martinelli in a good position and Arsenal have a good free-kick opportunity around 30 yards from goal.

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal
Sky Sports' Sam Blitz:

"Arteta is getting more animated on the touchline now. The Arsenal manager is waving his arms around with a face like thunder.

"He said after the first game against Bodo that the Gunners could have been better. That was after a comfortable win, I wonder what he'll say about this dodgy performance.

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal
64: Arsenal get a rare venture forward (that's how dominant Bodo have been) but Odegaard's slide-through pass is cut out just before Nketiah can get through in a one-on-one.
Vetlesen then leads the Bodo break but his own through ball is just too heavy with Solbakken lurking.

62: OVER! Espejord thinks he can make amends with a one-on-one but Turner rushes out quickly to clear under pressure.

The ball falls to Gronbaek around 40 yards from goal and he sees his name up in lights with a speculative effort attempted. Sadly for the midfielder, it's well too high and wide.

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal
Matt Taylor on Sky Sports News:

"Bodo/Glimt have had two wonderful chances. They should be level, could be in front.

"Arsenal need to get hold of the ball again and control the tempo of the game."

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

58: OVER! How many more chances do Bodo need?

A long ball forward sees Vetlesen take the ball down and Espejord picks up on the loose ball and has a clear sight of goal.

The forward gets underneath the ball and it goes over Turner's bar. The Bodo manager falls to his knees in despair. That was a big opportunity.

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

52: SAVE! Another big chance for Bodo and once again it falls to Pellegrino.

Lokonga gives the ball away in the Bodo half and one pass slices Arsenal open.

Pellegrino is in down the left with White very high up the pitch and the Bodo forward opens his body and forces Turner into a simple save.

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

46: BACK UNDERWAY! Arsenal restart matters in northern Norway. Can they build on their first-half lead?

Saltnes is replaced by Gronbaek - which is a shame as the midfielder was carrying the ball in good areas for the hosts.

Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Arsenal

11: WIDE! Arsenal get back on the ball and Saka, Lokonga and Odegaard play a triangle of passes around the right of the box.

The Gunners do have captain Odegaard down now after he was caught on his left ankle by Sampsted.

Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Arsenal

12: SUB! Bodo are forced into an early change, not what the home side would have wanted given their early momentum

"The Gunners captain is playing in his native Norway for the first time since 2014 - when he was 15 years of age."

Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Arsenal

16: Bodo's momentum looks to be rather shot after that substitution. Arsenal are holding the ball well now after a frantic start.

 Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Arsenal

22: Bodo substitute Gronbaek is straight in the action and creates a decent chance.

The midfielder slips Espejord in and the forward thinks he has a one-on-one after breaching the Gunners' high backline, but goalkeeper Matt Turner is out quickly to clear for Arsenal.

Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Arsenal

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

HT:

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

44: Saka bursts down the right for Arsenal and finds the overlapping White.

The right-back gets his head up but mis-times his cross on the stretch. The ball lands on top of the Bodo net.

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal are still looking for a second, with Nelson's cross from the left too strong for Odegaard in the box.

The 400 or so visiting fans from London can now be heard now they're in the lead, but Bodo's home support are still doing their team proud in terms of noise.

Bodo/Glimt 0-1 Arsenal

31: YELLOW! Wembangomo strides up the pitch for Bodo and Saka hauls him down on the break. The Arsenal man gets into the book.

Bodo/Glimt 0-1

Arsenal26: WIDE! Saka should make it two!

Odegaard slips Saka in down the right of the box and the Arsenal winger has acres of space to fashion a shot at goal, but rushes it and puts the effort wide.

Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Arsenal

Sky Sports' Sam Blitz:

"Very strong start to this game from both sides. Bodo are getting the ball in good spaces on the pitch and are pinning Arsenal back at times.

"Some poor touches from Saka and Co imply the Gunners are still getting used to the plastic surface beneath their feet."

2: CLOSE! Really good work from Arsenal, who get the first chance of the game.

White clips the ball over to Saka who draws the goalkeeper out near the corner flag.

Saka nips the ball over the goalkeeper and Nketiah can't get a touch into an empty net. Bodo clear before Nelson gets onto the rebound.

Bodo/Glimt 0-0 Arsenal

Sky Sports' Sam Blitz:

"Arsenal get off to a strong start and press Bodo into a mistake in the first nine seconds, with the centre-back simply kicking the ball out in his own half.

"A few selection themes to note: Vieira seems to be playing in the deeper role normally adopted by Xhaka - who is on the bench.

"Saliba playing at left centre-back, rather than the right which he has played in the Premier League.

Here come the sides!

Out comes the teams in Bodo/Glimt! Kick-off is just moments away.

The official temperature in the northern Norway town is around eight degrees Celsius - around half the temperature of London right now.

With everybody - including Mikel Arteta - wrapped up in very warm clothing, it looks like it feels a lot, lot colder...

Arsenal on artificial surface in the Arctic Circle

Sky Sports' Sam Blitz:

"Arsenal have some experienced players in their squad - but this environment could well throw them this evening.

"The rain was bucketing down in Bodo, with both teams playing on an artificial pitch just north of the Arctic Circle.

"The Gunners should have enough quality to beat Bodo this afternoon but these conditions may take some getting used to."

Bodo coach: We need to raise the bar

Bodo/Glimt manager Kjetil Knutsen speaking to BT Sport:

"First of all, we know we are playing against one of the best teams in Europe at the moment.

"I don't care what we are doing before because in this game, we need to raise the bar because I'm disappointed about the away game. We were too far away from Arsenal away.

"They have good players in every position. Hopefully we are capable enough and we have to attack and defend as a team because we're not good enough one on one versus Arsenal.

"In Norway, we have a close relationship to English football, if there's a good performance and result then this is at the top of the list.

"English football and the Premier League is the best lea

gue in the world. It's the interest of all coaches, even me. I'm focused 100% on Bodo/Glimt - that's really important
