INTERESTED Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha ‘keen on Liverpool’ transfer as Premier League giants prepare to battle for out-of-contract star after brilliant start to the season

Wilfried Zaha is keen on a summer switch to Liverpool when his contract at Crystal Palace expires, according to reports.

The 29-year-old is in the final year of his deal at Selhurst Park and is free to talk to foreign clubs over a free transfer from January – and domestic sides at the end of the season.

Eagles boss Patrick Vieira recently stated that he is not worried about the Ivorian’s future in south London.

But with the winger chipping in with five Premier League goals from nine games this season so far, he knows plenty of clubs will be closely monitoring his situation.

He once again stole the show for Palace in Tuesday’s 2-1 comeback victory against Wolves where he fired in the winner in the 69th minute.

And, according to Calciomercato, if Zaha had it his way, he will be lighting up Anfield next season.

The Italian news outlet has stated the former Manchester United forward is keen on a move to the Reds.

And they have declared that the player is ‘very fond’ of Jurgen Klopp‘s side.

Zaha has been in fine form this season for Palace, and will have a long list of admirers keeping a close watch of his situation

Liverpool have missed Mane since his move to Bayern Munich and Zaha would be a brilliant bit of business to replace him for nothing

Liverpool could jump at the chance to snap up Zaha where he would replace Sadio Mane, who left to join Bayern Munich in the summer.

The Merseyside outfit have struggled to hit their usual heights this term, with Mohamed Salah plagued by inconsistent performances.

Meanwhile Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota are currently out injured, which could see Klopp push for a move to sign Zaha in a cut-price deal in the winter transfer window.

But Liverpool know they will have a battle on their hands to secure his services, with talkSPORT’s Gabriel Agbonlahor urging Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea to try and nab him.

Reports in Italy have claimed that Zaha is keen to link up with Liverpool

“I mean if you’re an Arsenal, Spurs or Chelsea, you’re snapping him up on a three-year contract at the age of 30.

“He’s been playing in the Premier League for a long time but his hunger is still there and he lifts the crowd.

“He’s a great player and hopefully he gets that big move.”

It’s not just this season that Zaha has impressed, with the wide man scoring 14 top-flight goals in 2022 so far.
