Liverpool should beat Arsenal to 'dream' £13.5m transfer by following proven Luis Díaz template

A player linked with Arsenal is dreaming of the Premier League. Liverpool should consider a transfer hijack, copying the Luis Díaz model in more ways than one.

Building for the future is part and parcel of Liverpool Football Club. As the sporting director, Julian Ward has to constantly prepare in advance and have targets ready for FSG to pursue years and years before the Reds ultimately make the move.

Scouting is not just watching a few games these days, it's a far greater process, with players like Luis Díaz and Darwin Núñez having been monitored all the way back to their time in Colombia and Uruguay respectively. They were still teenagers at the time.

It is why it's essential to watch targets over an extended period of time.

Right now, Ward's recruitment staff are certainly not looking to bring in another winger to Anfield in the short-term. But in a few years' time that could change, and one name who may be an ideal future candidate seemingly already has a Premier League dreamUkrainian international and Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk

is just 21 years of age, but recently he has been in great form. He caught the eye with a spectacular performance in the Champions League against RB Leipzig.

Mudryk scored once and registered two assists in a comfortable 4-1 victory for his side, and after excelling on Tuesday night, just two days later, he spoke to CBS about his future aspirations.

“There was a lot of discussion about a transfer, that different clubs want me, but it’s normal,” Mudryk said.

“For now, I’m at Shakhtar and I want to play in this team. I love this team. Shakhtar is my home.

“In winter we will see. Every guy dreams of playing in the Premier League."

Valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt, Mudryk is the type of player Liverpool like to have in the wide areas. He has all the quintessential qualities that should make him a force under Jürgen Klopp, being a high-volume dribbler and possessing the speed and productivity in the final third to hurt any opponent. He's also capable of playing either on the right or the left side if needed
