Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo after being linked with a move for him in the summer.

According to Football Insider, Chelsea are said to be planning a to make a move for the talented midfielder as Graham Potter will know the talents of Caicedo with the pair having worked together at the Amex Stadium.

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly an admirer of Caicedo, as the Red were said to have registered an interest in the 20-year-ol before the close of the summer transfer window. But Brighton held firm and rebuffed any interest.

Liverpool made a move for Aurelien Tchouameni at the start of the window, but the Frenchman opted to join Real Madrid despite the Reds' best efforts to lure one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe to Anfield.

With injuries to midfielders such as Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, Curtis Jones and Jordan Henderson, Klopp admitted Liverpool needed to sign a new player for the middle, but had left it too late in the window to make a significant signing.

Caicedo was one of the names strongly linked with a move to Liverpool, but Brighton reportedly value the midfielder upwards of £50 million after paying just £4.5 million for him.
