Jurgen Klopp explains Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota Liverpool training absence and confirms four injured players

Liverpool injury latest on Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones and Andy Robertson, with Jurgen Klopp also giving updates on Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and others

Jurgen Klopp has eased concerns over Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez and says both are in contention for Liverpool's visit from Brighton on Saturday.

Neither striker was pictured in training at the AXA Centre on Thursday as Klopp and his staff welcomed back the players from their international commitments.

That sparked fears that both returned to Merseyside with problems to contend with but Klopp says they are ready for the meeting with Roberto De Zerbi's Seagulls this weekend as he provided an update on a host of injured players.

Some are still out, that's Andy Robertson, that's Curtis Jones, that's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, that's Naby Keita. Definitely these four [are out]," Klopp confirmed.

"Diaz and Jota? Yes, they came back from the international duty and it's how it always is [after] a long flight, I didn't see them yet, I have heard they are good.

"Darwin, [missing training] was a precaution after the games, same for Diogo, that's it I think."

Klopp also revealed the plans for Calvin Ramsay and Ibrahima Konate after both came back into the fold on Thursday.

Ramsay is yet to play for Liverpool since his summer move from Aberdeen while Konate's most recent appearance was the Champions League final in late May.

Klopp added: "Calvin is not ready to play but I am over the moon that he can train now, that's really good.

"He just needs to train, train, train and he will probably play for the Under-21s and he can get a game there because we play now all the time, that's fine.

"Caoimhin Kelleher, he will play this weekend for the U21s. He's obviously not had a game yet this season and hasn't played for a long time. He looks good in training and is completely fine.

"Ibou (Konate) looks good in training too, so, yes, he is completely back. For the weekend, it depends on training today but he is back and that is good
