The Citizens will once again be seeking Premier League glory - it would be their seventh title if they can complete the three-pete, but will balance that against their ongoing quest for European silverware.
West Ham had a successful 2021/22 campaign finishing 7th domestically and enjoying a dreamy run to the semi-finals of the Europa League, falling to eventual champions Eintracht Frankfurt.
Even then, they were a crossbar away from taking the game to extra time and they return to the competition this season.
They'll have to navigate this Premier League opener first though, a task made easier by keeping hold of star men Declan Rice and Jared Bowen over the summer. They've also brought in a new forward in Gianluca Scamacca.
