Unai Emery has already plan for perfect Yeremy Pino replacement as Arsenal ready to seal £42m Villarreal star

Villarreal may not find it tough to replace Yeremy Pino if the talented winger does end up joining Arsenal before the summer transfer window closes

With reports suggesting that Villarreal would be willing to accept a fee in the region of £42million, which is much lower than Pino's reported release clause of £67million, the Spaniard has said: "If an offer arrives for players like Yeremy Pino, then he will have to leave. We have a responsibility with the club. It is what it is."

Now, despite all the speculation surrounding Pino's future at the moment - with Liverpool also linked - Emery handed the talented youngster a start in Villarreal's La Liga opener away at Vallodolid on Saturday evening. However, it's what happened after the teenager was substituted that may interest Arsenal supporters.

Withdrawn in the 63rd minute with the visitors leading 1-0, Pino's replacement Alex Baena made quite the impact by scoring twice en route to helping Emery's side start the new season in style and in the process, perhaps showing he can be an internal solution should the Gunners sign his teammate

Emery told reporters. "But it is a buyer from the desire to have resources. And it is also a quarry club, which is intelligent to work on these three phases and make good decisions. There is a very good academy but you have to help them.

"Baena already played 20 games two years ago at the age of 18. In Girona he had a great season and this summer he has given a high performance. Jackson worked a lot with us last year. We have to keep improving to be in the elite. We have the confidence and responsibility that they agree."

Of course, this doesn't guarantee that Pino will be leaving Villarreal for Arsenal this summer, but the comments regarding Baena may indicate why Emery has been so relaxed about the idea of losing the 19-year-old as he might just have the perfect ready-made replacement and Saturday's game was certainly a step in the right direct
