Ruben Neves issues update on Wolves future amid Liverpool transfer speculation
Ruben Neves has admitted he did not expect to still be a Wolves player this season as speculation over his future continues.
Liverpool were first rumoured to be interested in the Portuguese midfielder during his Porto days and have recently been linked with the 25-year-old once again. Jurgen Klopp could yet add a midfielder to the ranks ahead of next week's transfer deadline as concern grows over this department, though the Reds' boss has maintained he will only move for the 'right player.'
Neves has been at Wolves since 2017 and has gradually developed into an influential player for the West Midlands side. Other top-flight sides such as Arsenal and Manchester United have been named as possible destinations in recent years, though he has stayed true to his current employers.
