Liverpool ready to bid for 'complete' player with €50m release clause

As such, he’d add to the Liverpool squad much of what they already have.The Algerian is a good passer of the ball, works hard off it, and boasts strong technical quality, but he doesn’t bring goal contributions to the table.

And if Liverpool are to significantly improve their midfield before the end of the transfer window, they need to bring in a player who can guarantee goals and assists.

The widely anticipated arrival of Jude Bellingham at Liverpool next summer would go some way towards solving this problem, but the Reds need at least a short-term solution to the issue now.

As such, it’d be sensible for Jürgen Klopp to sign a new midfielder before the transfer window slams shut in a few weeks’ time, but that man shouldn’t be Ismael Bennacer.

So, Klopp could look to nullify this issue by splashing up to €50 million on AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer, who has been dubbed a 'complete' player by his current manager.

This is according to CMW, who claim the signing of Bennacer would add ‘quality and geometry’ to the Liverpool midfield and the club are ready to submit a bid.

After a disappointing start to their Premier League season, Liverpool have been encouraged to dip into the market to strengthen their squad.

The Reds looked off the pace during their opening day fixture against Fulham at Craven Cottage yesterday.

Their midfield in particular lacked impetus, with the starting trio of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, and Thiago Alcantara disappointing on the day, and the position was already an area of concern for Liverpool fans before the season began.

 The issue is not one related to depth. Jürgen Klopp has a multitude of players to pick from in the middle of the park, but the Reds lack a superstar player in that area of the pitch.
