Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his fortnight-long silence on social media, with barely a week to run until the end of the transfer window.
The Manchester United superstar has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford all summer, but time is running out for him to secure a switch before the transfer window slams shut on September 1. But rumours over Ronaldo's future don't appear to be distracting the forward as he posted a short message to his 102 million followers on Twitter on Thursday evening.
The 2-1 win saw manager Erik ten Hag register his first victory with Ronaldo reduced to a bit-part role as he came off the bench after 86 minutes at Old Trafford.
It remains to be seen whether he will win back his starting place for Saturday's trip to Southampton as United attempt to register back-to-back wins for the first time since back in February. Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from United before next week's transfer deadline after he and his trusted agent, Jorge Mendes, indicated their desire to leave ahead of the club's pre-season
