Balogun would have likely been behind Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson in the pecking order for this season, but will now return to Arsenal next summerArsenal confirm Folarin Balogun joins Stade de Reims on season-long loan
The striker will gain valuable experience in Ligue 1 this season after a spell in the Championship last term
Arsenal have confirmed that striker Folarin Balogun will join French side Stade de Reims on a season-long loan for the 2021/22 campaign.
Balogun is another promising forward at Arsenal, but may have been on the outside looking in if he were to stay with the first-team, with Mikel Arteta deciding to send him on loan.
The Englishman started the first Premier League game for Arsenal last season against Brentford, which was the moment it seemed he had finally broken through into the Arsenal first team picture. However, he was unable to make another start and was eventually loaned out to Middlesborough.
