Arsenal: £60m signing 'could be another Gabriel Jesus' at the Emirates

Arsenal can sign Pedro Neto, O’Rourke thinks the Portuguese star would be a great addition to their squad

Obviously, Arsenal have done some good business in the window already with Gabriel Jesus adding something different to the Arsenal team, and I think Pedro Neto could do similar – versatile player, skilful as well.”

Would Neto be Arsenal’s best signing of the summer?

As O’Rourke mentioned, Neto is quite a skilful player. Back in the 2020/21 Premier League season, the Portugal international completed 2.1 dribbles per game – the second-highest average in Wolves’ squad (via WhoScored) – so he is an individual who can go past defenders.

That campaign, Neto also made two key passes on average, which none of his team-mates could better, further showing his quality in attack.

Still, even if Arsenal were to add him to their squad, you cannot look past Jesus when debating who the Gunners’ best signing of the summer is.

The Brazil international brings so much: goals, versatility, experience and a winning pedigree after picking up four Premier League titles during his time at Manchester City.

In general, Jesus has been one of the signings of this transfer window, at least going off the start he has made at the Emirates.

Neto, though, could still be a brilliant addition to Arsenal’s roster and may be needed following Nicolas Pepe’s loan move to Nice.
