Pep Guardiola's decision to try and sign Marc Cucurella could benefit Arsenal as it opens the chance for a perfect loan move for Nuno Tavares

Pep Guardiola has directly provided Arsenal with excellent transfer business so far in the summer window by allowing the Gunners to sign Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko. And his blessings to Arsenal could indirectly continue by signing Marc Cucurella from Brighton.

The Gunners are looking to offload Nuno Tavares on a loan deal before the end of the transfer window. The Portuguese international has attracted attention from Atalanta, Marseille, and a host of other clubs according to reports.

However, the best move for Tavares would be in the Premier League and specifically to Brighton under Graham Potter, a manager who uses his full-backs with major importance. However, for this potential loan to take place, Manchester City will need to sign Cucurella.

According to Sky Germany reporter, Florian Plettenberg, Manchester City have agreed to personal terms with Cucurella. Brighton reportedly rejected the opening £25m bid from the Citizens and are instead demanding a £50m fee.

It is potentially because of this deal that Brighton are searching for alternatives. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, one of the alternatives for the Seagulls is to sign Tavares from Arsenal on a loan deal.

This would be the perfect move for all parties involved. It allows Tavares to gain crucial Premier League experience, so he can earn the necessary experience to fight for an Arsenal spot next season. it also creates the chance for the Gunners to assess the youngster over a season where he has played regularly in the Pr

emier League
