Lingard set for Forest medical

Jesse Lingard is set to undergo a medical with newly-promoted Nottingham Forest as he edges towards a move to the City Ground.

The former Red Devils star departed Old Trafford at the end of the season, with West Ham United expected to make a move. Forest appear to have jumped the queue and are closing in on a move for the forward.

Timber to pen new Ajax deal

If Clauss' move Marseille wasn't bad enough, Man United also appear set to lose out on the services of Jurrien Timber.

The Red Devils were linked with a move for the Dutchman during the early stages of the transfer window as they aimed to bolster their defensive ranks.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, he will pen a new contract with current employers Ajax.

Fernandes breaks silence on Ronaldo

Bruno Fernandes has broken his silence on Cristiano Ronaldo's request to leave the club.

Talking during the Red Devils' pre-season tour of Australia, he said: “Obviously we have to respect the decision of everyone.

“I don't know what Cristiano said to the club, to the manager, I don't know what he's going into his head, but we have to respect his space. From everything we know, he had some family problems, so we have to respect his space, give him some space and that's it."
