Jurgen Klopp has been granted his Liverpool transfer wish as the Reds have signed Joe Gomez down to a new contract.
There had been speculation about Gomez's future at Anfield in recent months with the defender having dropped down the pecking order, with Reds legend Steven Gerrard reportedly keen to take him to Aston Villa. But he has now signed a new contract, understood to be until 2027, after Klopp informed his bosses of just how keen he is to keep hold of the versatile defender.
